A PURPOSE DRIVEN JOURNEY THAT STARTED FROM A SINGLE STEP

From a young age, Septra watched her mother thoughtfully arrange furniture and decorate their modest home in Missouri City, Texas, each time seeking a sense of renewal. Though just a child, she vividly remembers the warmth and positivity that filled the space after every refresh. Inspired by these moments, Septra began reimagining her own bedroom, unaware that this simple routine would one day shape her future in interior design.

In 2011, Septra pursued her passion at the Art Institute of Houston. However, her design journey took a nontraditional path—rather than beginning at a design firm, she started in the retail sector. She honed her skills with renowned brands such as West Elm (Williams Sonoma) and the iconic Restoration Hardware, where she held elevated designer roles. These positions sharpened her expertise in schematic design, product procurement, and project coordination, all while reinforcing her commitment to delivering an elite and unexpected customer experience.

After years of retail experience, Septra transitioned into a senior designer role with Dream by MJS Interiors, a subsidiary of the distinguished custom home builder Michael J. Sillers.

In 2020, amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Septra took a leap of faith. After more than a decade of preparation, she launched her first formal interior design company, R&S Holistic Interiors.

Today, she is the Owner and Principal Creative Director of Septra’s Studio, where she champions the belief that thoughtfully designed wellness spaces—whether residential or commercial, interior or exterior—are essential to well-being.

Septra’s Studio is a heartfelt tribute to her loved ones: her husband, Thomas, and son, Marius, who have been unwavering in their support, and her mother, Yvette, whose innate creativity unknowingly set Septra on the path to her interior design journey.
