THE ESTATES AT CANE ISLAND (2019 PRISM AWARD WINNER

VIA THE HOUSTON CHRONICLE:

A sprawling estate home in the Katy community of Cane Island has been named winner of a Greater Houston Builders Association PRISM award in the category of Best Custom Home Design for homes priced from $1 million to $1.5 million. Designed in a French transitional style, the 6,000-square-foot residence by William David Homes is a four-bedroom, 4.5-bath showcase situated on a three-quarter acre homesite in The Estates at Cane Island, the community’s exclusive, gated collection of luxury custom homes on half-acre plus properties. The estate home features an open floor plan with multiple courtyards, private casita, two gourmet kitchens, family room with Chicago brick-domed ceiling, speakeasy-style game room with 22-foot shuffleboard and air-conditioned, garage-attached street pantry dedicated for packages and deliveries when the owner is away.

The home of Dan Naef, president of Cane Island developer Rise Communities, and his wife, Beth, also was a finalist for PRISM awards in the categories of Best Custom Home Specialty Room and Best Custom Home Bath.

“Winning Best Custom Home Design encompasses the home in its entirety,” said David Sanders, president of William David Custom Homes. “It recognizes the home’s floorplan, interior and exterior design, finish quality and overall feel.”

Each year, the Greater Houston Builders Association recognizes builders, developers, remodelers and industry professionals at its Houston’s Best PRISM Awards gala. This year’s award recipients were chosen by a panel of premier industry professionals from around the country.
